This message just in about the protest called for this Friday:

“Thank you to everyone who supported our planned anti-eviction protest – very good news is that the housing office has agreed to meet with Dennis this week to sort this out in person and that they will not now be asking Dennis to go to court on Friday.

We will continue to support Dennis and any other tenants who are threatened with eviction and I hope we can call on your support again if needed!”

Rents in Brixton and across London are sky-rocketing! Unregulated lettings agents are discriminating against tenants on housing benefit, fleecing us with rip-off fees and helping to drive up rents. We’ve had enough!

Join us for a ‘community housing inspection’ of Brixton letting agents to find out exactly what they’re up to, and let them know what we think. Bring banners, placards, high vis jackets and clipboards – we don’t want to be messed around!
